Profile of a Foot and Ankle Surgeon

I was already fascinated by the human foot during my studies at the University of Heidelberg and during my first internships with renowned foot surgeons in various clinics and practices. The foot is the most complex organ in orthopedics and is the most heavily stressed part of the human body. I pursued my interest in foot and ankle joint surgery throughout my professional career at the University Hospital of Frankfurt, in two sports clinics (Stuttgart Sports Clinic/Hellersen Sports Clinic) and in the Markgöningen Orthopedic Clinic (OKM). 

I have also become twice certified as a foot surgeon in foot and ankle surgery.  The certification by the D.A.F (German Association for Foot and Ankle) and GFFC (Society for Foot and Ankle Surgery) was able to expand my expertise and deepen my know-how. 

My range of services includes complete foot and ankle medicine. The treatment options range from non-surgical treatment (conservative) to surgical therapy. Depending on the severity of the foot disease and pathology, the procedures can be performed minimally invasively (mini-incisions) and on an outpatient basis.
